The CWC addressed the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affiars on the theme The Challenge of Sustaining Community Development in the Present Economic Downturn on December 2nd 2009. The National Community Development Forum and Pobal also addressed the JOC.
