CWC welcomes the Hillsborough Agreement
The CWC issued a statement welcoming the Hillsborough Agreement.
Ann Irwin, CWC National Co-ordinator, today welcomed the signing of the Hillsborough Agreement on Friday 5th February. She said: ‘The devolution of Policing and Justice will finally enable communities in Northern Ireland to take charge of their own affairs. Through our involvement in the EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation over the past twelve years, we know that community workers have been working in their communities towards securing a long-term commitment to ensuring stability in the process of governance in Northern Ireland. This agreement will allow the Executive to get on with dealing with the issues which affect people lives on a daily basis.'
