What We Do
Introduction
The CWC Strategic Priorities for 2009-2010 were agreed at the CWC AGM in October 2009. The CWC currently has four areas of priority work. These are:
- To work to embed quality community work in practice and policy
- To resource and support the community sector
- To contribute to the development of structures that support and enable quality community work
- To ensure the sustainability and further development of the CWC

The CWC does this by:
- Providing information and analysis to its members and the community sector
- Providing opportunities for capacity building
- Engaging with the community sector on important issues & themes
- Promoting standards for quality community work
- Producing relevant publications & materials
- Representing the community sector on various forums at regional and national level
- Engaging with the social partnership process through engagement primarily with the Community Platform and also with the Community & Voluntary Pillar
